A service designed for self-launching cross-country minded hang glider pilots.
Our Mission
To promote, coordinate and support weekend cross-country journeys across
Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa. Participants are offered any number of servcies
to make their flights successful.

Based in southeastern Wisconsin, Weekend Soaring Tours organizes and supports pilots who are seeking 100 to 300 miles long weekend cross-country soaring flights. Click map for more details.
A typical weekend, excluding weather factors, would involve late Friday afternoon rendezvous at a predetermined airport, en mass launch and downwind sunset warm up flight. Friday night typically would be overnight camping 20 to 50 miles from starting point. Services available to pilots are listed in the chart below.
Saturday, again excluding weather factors would be a down-wind soaring flight. The support team will be taking down camp, moving to the next location that is dependant on soaring conditions and would be on alert for any premature landings or mechanical assistance.
Sunday, depending on distance covered Friday and Saturday and of course the weather will be either more soaring and late Sunday retrieval back to the starting point or a leisurely ride back to the stating point.
Our stategy is to pamper our guests with a 5-star feel in everything we do. Cross county retrievals don't have to be brutal, not with Weekend Soaring Tours close at hand.
